Might as well.

Most of their music is basically interchangeable.

This album is the standout.

It's got Neko Case on it so it's gotta be good

Love the sound of this. It's not a varied album, but it's very enjoyable for what it is.

I only really like this band when Dan Bejar is on lead vox

A week on the piss in Lanzarote and the carefree relaxation that comes with being on holiday suddenly evaporates as you walk through the front door back home. The first feelings of despondency and a slight detachment develop into a crashing realisation that you'll be back at work and the grind, day in day out, day in day out for what'll seem like an eternity.

I think I'd make a comment about Dan Bejar to take the edge off.

I feel like they don't really take advantage of the vocal powerhouse that is Neko Case. She's almost always on backing vocals and even when she gets leads the songs don't really suit her.

There are a few pretty great songs though. Just not nearly as many memorable hooks or melodies as I expected.

Sing Me Spanish Techno, The Bleeding Heart Show, and Stacked Crooked are the highlights.
