Then you dont need the greatest hits

why a record company would re-release some of the worst songs of all time is beyond me...
|
| |
What the fuck? Talk about bad music taste. These are all very good songs, but they couldve really included more AFD and some more fan favorites.

GNR is defaintly not hair metal since I despise those bands and I like GNR.
|
| |
Kripes is right they arent hair metal.
|
| |
they still suck though, mind you i like 1 or 2 or their songs
welcome to the jungle
and
sweet child o' mine

if GnR is hair metal, their definitly alot more hard rock than alot of those bands. alot of hair metal is ljust pop metal and GnR definitly isnt.
anyways alright review... sorta seems like you didnt know what you were talking about though
matt sorum was the drummer on some if not all of use your illusion and all of the spaghetti incident, and gilby clark was the rhythm for aint it fun and since i dont have you so the lineup was kind of wrong. And everyone saying that these are the worst songs, you jsut piss me the fuck off because most hit songs are for a reason. Ive heard Welcome to jungle a million times on radio, CD, GTA watever. just because its mainstream doesnt make it rock any less, same with every other gnr song. btw yesterdays is a kick ass song, so just fuck off
|
| |
No, that is a fact. Each member of GNR is much more talented at their instrument or vocals than any member of blink 182 or green day. Slash owns both... armstrong (?) and is it tom something?
They cant even dream to play like him. Also, Axl has much more range to his voice and can hit notes that those other guys cant come close to. And green day and blink 182 aint exactly got the best bassists around, either...
|
| |
haha perfect way of putting it. best riff ive heard from blink is stay together for the kids, most of the other stuff is 3 string power chords. shitloads and shitloads of power chords....
mike dirnt is actually a pretty good bassist though...
|
| |
Yeah i would agree that GnR are much more talented at their instruments but does it realy matter who is better at what? If people like their music theyv done a good job. And mike dirnt owns duff on bass
|
| |
Why is it that green day seems to be coming up all the time in these forums?
Anyway, Civil War owns me . It's my favorite GnR song. A close second is November Rain.
And Slash (take it easy here, everyone), but does anyone else think he's a smidgen (no sarcasm) overrated? This Message Edited On 11.03.05

No. He is not over-rated.
|
| |
I'm gonna agree with you on his technicality, but he does seem rather sloppy, at times. Granted I haven't listened to their live cd in quite some time, I recall is playing being quite sloppy on that.
I dunno, maybe I've heard to too many "musically retarded" people in my past that think he's the best guitarist ever...This Message Edited On 11.03.05

Okay band, only songs I like are Welcome o the Jungle, Civil War and maybe Paradise City and Sweet Child Of Mine.
Slash is clearer one of the greater guitarrists, but the band just annoyme for the most part.
|
| |
Mike Dirnt owns Duff McKagan??? have u even haerd the bass intro to sweet child o mine? obviously not. go listen to it asshole, then get back to me
|
| |
duff is quite a lot better than dirnt, thiough dirnmt is a very good bassist.
slash is over rated in some ways, but also under rated, he is a great shredder and is very fast, but also is extremely melodic and bluesy, personally he's one of the greastest guitarists ever.
shit album really, not there greatest hits, and sympathy for the devil should never have been done.
also, i dont agree with you about izzy, he wrote more than half of all the gnr songs, and whats the onjly album they realeased after he left? a cover album, so that really proves the fact.
|
| |
cant go wrong with this cd
