Because they're not.

Go listen to some real death metal and tell me Cradle of Filth sounds like them

Cryptopsy, Necrophagist, Behemoth, Morbid Angel, etc.

That's what I thought.

Dani's screams on this album are starting to annoy me. They're great on just about every other album they have, but they just don't do it for me on here.

Well I can't get enough of the musicianship in this album, but I just liked Dani's screams on the past albums more.

This has their best guitar work to date. They're pretty amazing.

In my opinion, this is the best album ever. The songs, the atmosphere, the production, the samples, the album art... everything about this album is amazing. It is designed to transport you, to make you feel as if you were in a graveyard in the most dark part of Transylvania

Its BLACK METAL!!! Thats why there is so much screeching and high pitched guitar work. Black metal was my fav genre for a very long time, and Dusk And Her Embrace is one of the best Black Metal releases ever, along with Satryicons and Celtic Frost. But I do admit, it gets a little too strong on the ears, like the 9th vodka shot, your head starts to hurt a bit.

Great while wondering through the haunted Carpathian forests, or your own back yard in the middle of the night. Honestly scary stuff.

I don't think there's any point in describing an entire song in a review because it doesn't help you understand what it sounds like, you have to hear it for yourself.

Well true, but it can at least give you a little idea of what you're getting yourself into before you actually hear it.

In my opinion, CoF are for people who like mainstream rock, and listen to them for something "heavier." I have a friend who likes them, i asked him why, he replied "I like my Music heavy." I laughed in his face.

Mainstream rockers like Five Finger Death Punch, Slipknot and Nickelback, not really CoF. Even their newer mainstream crap is hard to listen to by "mainstreamers." But this also isn't relatively heavy, either.
