and by the way...who is ed gein?

Ed Gein was the necrophilliac killer, who then inspired such films as Psycho and Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

Hell Awaits IS Slayer's best CD, but SitA is a really good album, it has most of Slayer's catchier songs and riffs. Nice riview. This Message Edited On 11.14.05

This album shows that Slayer doesn't have to be fast to be good.

Everytime I put this cd in, all I listen to is the title track. perhaps I should give it an acual listen. The title track is very enjoyable, the live version is better tho.

Ed Gein was a serial killer that was known for having:

masks made out of human flesh (hence "Dead Skin Mask")

lamp shades made out of human flesh

coach covers made out of human flesh

soup bowls made of human skulls

belts made out of breasts and vaginas

entire suit of human flesh

He purposely chose victims that looked like his mother.

Basically a really sick and demented freak. This Message Edited On 05.24.06

Mmmm...yesss...welcome to the dark side

For the record, 'Dead Skin Mask' is an amazing song, but my personal favorite on this album might have to be either the title track or 'War Ensemble'.
