Pure brilliance for a modern day rock group. I'm not all that into some of the modern rock groups today, but these guys are sure an exception, and proved that through this album. Thanks for the awsome review too, otherwise I would never had checked these guys out.

I thought highly of this album after seeing the reviews and the feedback this album recieved and I must admit I am not impressed. I find it dull and uninspiring. Some songs are good, but overall it just didn't hit the right chord with me.

The only song that really didn't stick out to me was convelescent. Everything else is awesome. I'm having a hard time deciding whether i like catch without arms or this one better though.

Awesome review. Awesome album. I may be revising my rating to a 5 soon. Every song on here is outstanding, and Triangle is just godly. This Message Edited On 03.17.07

This album is so disappointing, it promises so much and at times is very interesting but these guys cannot hold it together for long enough to perform a decent song.
If you wanna hear a band that does this ten fold better than this lot check out "Imago" by The Butterfly Effect.

I'm pretty much enthralled with this band and what they offer with El Cielo. Pleasantly accessible Art Rock with a lot of depth and a unique singing voice - right up my alley. "Same ol' Road", "Sanzen", and "Eighteen People Living in Harmony" are really doing it for me.

Oh, IsItLuck, you know you love this album. Just admit it.
In other news, I may be a little too obsessed with those first three tracks. I keep listening to them over and over.

I'm curious as to which tracks were your favorites, Luck, and which ones really did nothing for you. I'm tempted to say that the "Brushstroke" tracks don't count, since a lot of them are basically the "Fitter Happier"s of El Cielo, but I find some of them quite remarkable, even with their brevity.

Sanzen and Convalescant from what I remember. I haven't listened to it in in a long time.
