Yeah. This album will rip your heart out and sacrifice it to the metal gods.
If you're in doubt about whether you'd like it or not, download Between The Hammer And The Anvil.
I dare you not to rock.

This is without a doubt one of the essential speed metal albums. Rob Halford, the British banshee, is in top form. Glenn and KK have taken their playing to new heights. And Scott Travis has cemented his reputation as one of metal's finest drummers.

I'd say my two favorite tracks are Painkiller and A Touch of Evil.

A Touch Of Evil is awesome.
This album had a huge influence on the emerging Swedish melo-death scene too. The title track is almost like a lighter In Flames song.
'Tis a fact. Look it up.

I love this album to death, I think it beats anything done by Maiden. Between the Hammer & The Anvil and Painkiller and the strongest tracks IMO but I couldn't pick a bad track.

^^^

This, Defenders of the Faith or Screaming for Vengeance are good starting places, but be sure to avoid Turbo and British Steel.

Why does it have to be Maiden Or Judas Priest. Why one or the other instead of owning all the albums by both of them and having an owning metal collection. PLus, POwerslave is better than this. Still an incredible album.

I love both, but this is much better than anything by Maiden although Maiden are more consistently brilliant with their albums.

Quote from Steerpike "And Scott Travis has cemented his reputation as one of metal's finest drummers."

Scott Travis is an okay drummer, but in Angel of Retribution he proved himself worst than "ok", hes uncreative and not very fast, which he dosent play very creatively.

Hardcoresucks, please listen to what i assume to be double kick (i'm not a drummer) on Judas is rising and you will see he is a damn good drummer. Also, Deal With The Devil and Demonizer.
