Well, their first album was thrash and I've gotten into the habit of thinking of SOAD as "thrash" of some sort.

This album has several "thrash"-like songs, though - Cigaro, parts of B.Y.O.B., Sad Statue, Revenga. . .

Im a huge soad fan i need to get this album!!!

A few years ago, SOAD were my favorite band but I've since stopped listening to them. I haven't heard this album yet but I've heard some good things about it so I might check it out.

I'm just wondering, do they play guitar solos on it?

Yeah, there's a cool one in "Radio/Video."

V.Good album, nice change of pace (not literally):P, n good to see a bit of diversity from a band that was seemingly becoming slightly repetitve at times. Lookin forward to Hypnotize :D

To be honest, I kind of forgot about System of a Down for awhile there. When I heard this was coming out though I was very intrigued, and rightfully so. It's a great, fun album that will surely be in my cd player quite often until Hypnotize comes out.

Good album. I agree with everyone who said the previous SOAD records were annoying. This is one of the best albums of 2005 but I still can't feel but a little dissapointed in it. All the hype made me expect some Godly record.

Not the best SOAD release, but it's so addicting. I love it.

this album is total garbage, this isn't system! what happened!?!?! what happened to the amazing guitar riffs cut in with the gut busting drum beats and heart throbbing metal that is S.O.A.D! this album is a complete let down. the band itself has gone completely downhill. the very first album that was self titled was incredible. it had it all. that was there best album by far. followed up by toxicity that album forced its way into the teen minds all accross north america, amazing stuff. then they released of steal this album, the band begins to slowdown. everything went wrong from there. and now u all think this knew shit is good? c'mon u call urselves real S.O.A.D fans, if u were u'd understand what i mean.This Message Edited On 06.19.05

HA better than toxicity!
no songs got really popular, it's all mainly slow shit, the fast songs don't even sound like them (fuck the system) and it lacked the metaaaaaaaaal, thats y everyone likes toxicity better.

It has been a while since there was a new S.O.A.D. CD. I was worried that they had changed too much and that I wasn't going to like the CD, but it kicked some serious ass! Good review.
