^^^^^ I think the second half with the drums is much cooler.

Godsmack isn't even in thrash metal (of course Metallica really isn't anymore), but on this album and the others up until AJfA they were, and Sully isn't really that great IMO he is just trying to imitate the growl of vocalists like Hetfield.

Yet, Sully Erna OWNS at drums. When Godsmack opened for metallica in their tour last year sully and their real drumer did like this crazy sincronyzed drum solo!!! With Pyrotechnics...

I saw them last summer as well, although at my show Godsmack didn't do it for me, which is odd because I liked them when I saw them live a while ago.

(?)Why would you want to kill 'em all? Then who would buy your albums?

I dont care if anyone else thought this isn't funny. I thought it was funny. Anyways, congrats. Nice review.

Good review.......Does anybody else think that Metallica would be doing a lot better if they still had Cliff Burton and Dave Mustaine?

Cliff? Hell yes! Dave? Hell no! Dave would have killed 'em all by now (pardon the pun) and there would be no Megadeth

They would be waaaaay better with Cliff. That means that they wouldn't have made the crapiness of an album that AJFA is.

Dave would be better off not being with 'tallica, as he and Lars would get into ego fights every single day.

I once read someone's comment on this site that said that if Cliff were still alive he'd probably have left the band by now. I don't remember the reasoning behind that comment nor why I had agreed with it but I think now that if Cliff were still in the band they wouldn't have made much of a difference. It's not ass if he were the brains behind the band. It has always been James and Lars so either way they would have eventually steered towards the direction they are now regardless of Cliff or Newsted or Mustaine still being in the band.

Good review. Very descriptive, but one thing
1. Hit the Lights -4:19 (Hetfield; McGovney; Mustaine; Ulrich)
Where did you hear that McGovney and Mustaine helped write this track? On my copy it says that only Hetfield and Ulrich wrote it.
Does anybody else think that Metallica would be doing a lot better if they still had Cliff Burton and Dave Mustaine?
I'm glad they kicked Mustaine out, because then he formed Megadeth! Cliff was their best bassist.

I think Mustaine would have gone with the trend to become more mainstream and sell out (or whatever phrase you would like to use to describe Metallica's decline). If Mustaine were to have stayed with Metallica, they would still have become as popular as they were by their 4th or 5th album, and with that popularity they would have definitely gotten worse.

I you misuse the term "sell out" again, I'll chainsaw you in half. Why is it only 2% of the people on this site actually know what it means?

I honestly don't think Metallica sold out. That's why I put the parenthesis there you dumb ninja, because 98% of the people on this site refer to everything Metallica did with the Black Album and past that as "selling out." I'm speaking their language. I'll say it again, I don't think they sold out

I was referring to your comment about Dave Mustaine. I don't think Metallica sold out because I don't believe Lars had any integrity to begin with.

As for Dave, I don't believe he sold out. I just think after finding Jesus he started running short on really good ideas. Still a better band than Metallica, though.

Forgive me, I stated that wrong. I meant that if Mustaine stayed with metallica, they would have still sold out. It had to do with what wakeupdead said above me. sorry bout the confusion.

Yeah I've always been a complete hardcore Metallica fanboy but I've grown on Megadeth a lot. Hell, I'm even digging Peace Sells right now!
