Oh I see, he made the most of the song.

I visited the monument on a student ambassador trip, almost a year before the album was announced then the numbers that followed are from my CS handle, which used to be Pwnge3255.This Message Edited On 08.24.05

It seems i'm one of the few who thinks meteora rocks...

By the way, some arguments are really stupid like, short songs... I've counted it and both albums have both 12 songs (except for meteoras intro, but that's only 13 seconds) and i've come to the conclusion meteora is 3 minutes longer.

:D

Nice Review overall, I agree it's not set apart from Hybrid Theory enough with only Somewhere I Belong and Numb standing out to me.

I like the un-biased review you gave this. I was into Linkin Park about two years ago, but grew out of it. Even then, I knew this CD was dissapointing compared to Hybrid Theory

Well, remember Mr. 1039, that Billie Joe Armstrong isn't exactly a guitar virtuoso himself, in fact one could argue that he isn't really an extremely talented guitar player either.

Billie's not a good guitar player, but hes a far better songwriter and vocalist than Mike or Chester. And when all the song's sound the same and are about the same thing, then, it gets tired in about two days. (*Sighs. looks to right and see's Hybrid Theory. Wishes he could have more of that.*)

This sounds exactly like Hybrid Theory (which I hate), only it isn't as good.

eh, i have mixed feelings for this album. some songs good, some songs bad, some songs suck. pretty average to say the least, especially after 'Hybrid Theory'. "Numb" however is a great song when NOT overplayed. so as of the moment, it sucks.

Im gonna be fairly harsh to Linkin Park, but im sure man other muso's would agree that this is Childish Rock. Im 16 and ive heard all of Linkin Park and i cant see how anyone can like it. I might give numb a special mention tho, it isnt that bad, the rest is all, well, i dont need to say again do i? overall Meteora scores a 2.

I just got this after owning HT for about a half-year. I don't know whether to hate it for its lack of innovation or love it for the way it builds so well on its predecessor. In any case, I'm afraid one of the most original (if not talented) bands has come to the end of the line as far as creativity goes.

All I can say is...

1) Somewhere I belong has a bridge

2) This album is a bit better than Hybrid Theory on the recording front

3) Linkin Park's label is 80% responsible for their "Lack of innovation"
