The band is indeed brilliant, but I'm afraid you're wrong about the review. This review was way too biased for it's own good, and tells almost nothing about the album itself. The musicianship on this is very-well done, and Scott brings back the Temple's fury to reflect off Slash's rushed solos that circle around mayhem arranged by Duff, and Matt. The ballads are a thing to look out for , and are also a great look into the writing styles Slash and Scott have to offer. That's the album in a nutshell, but you'd be better off reading Entwistle's review. The band puts on a great live show, and serves a platter of scores from Contraband, Core, and Appetite For Destruction. The album also gets old after a while, but never loses it's actual value. You have to realize GNR is almost completely different from Velvet Revolver, and noticing grunge, and metal influences, I'd say I enjoy both bands equally.

Album is good, but nothing more...maybe average would be a better description.

Big Machine is the biggest piece of crap I have ever heard. I do howver really like Dirty Little Thing, Loving the Alien and Sucker Train Blues. Their next album should be better. This Message Edited On 01.18.06

After seeing them live twice, i've come to the conclusion that they blow their recordings out of the water. Every song sounds good live, to the point where even if you don't like the song on the album, you're throwing yourself around like an animal when you're at their show. Great concerts they have. And Spat, Slash still smokes his Marlboro reds in between sets.
