This CD is rediculous. I fucking love it so much. Sweet Charity, None Of Them Knew They Were Robots, Retrovertigo, Ars Moriendi, Vanity Fair, Goodbye Sober Day are so stellar.

If you feel your ears popping, don’t worry - it’s just your mind expanding.

Priceless stuff there man.

By the way, I really think "The Holy Filament" is one of the best songs on here. It sends chills down my spine everytime, while slightly losing interest some of the songs like "Vanity Fair" and "The Air-Conditioned Nightmare".

That Trevor Dunn is a genius. Not only is he a brilliant bass-player (owning Flea in every way possible), his compositions are awesome. Remember "Carry Stress In The Jaw" and "Phlegmatics" from Disco Volante? The two jazz/metal/jungle/punksongs that never get boring?

His work. I want to marry him and bear his children.

Patton's best work.

Songs that really stand out for me are the weirdest ones: Ars Moriendi (down right classic), Goodbye Sober Day, and None of them Knew They Were Robots. This Message Edited On 11.07.05

I'm in the process of aquiring this, and so far, it seems promising.

This is one of the 10 best albums of the 1990s in my humble opinion. Impossible to pick out best tracks from, but None Of Them Knew They Were Robots is probably one.

I don't like this album as much as I used too.

I listened again and I think None Of Them Knew They Were Robots is the best track, it may be very weird but it's actually a very consistent song that carefully builds on one idea. A close second is Ars Moriendi. And the quiet part before the distorted guitar enters in Retrovertigo is among the most beautiful things I have ever heard.

"None Of Them Knew They Were Robots" is my favorite track. This album is excellent in every way, I know this has been said before but Mike Patton is a genious.

I can't tell which is my favorite Bungle album because it is constantly changing since they're all drastically different.

Awesome review, I really liked your Haiku (verse of seventeen syllables I think?). Basho would be quite proud..

Anyway, this album is the best thing Patton released since Angel Dust. It's got such a great chemistry between members, just like Angel Dust had.

If you can't get up and dance around like a mad hatter to "Vanity Fair" or "Sweet Charity" then you don't like music. Simple.

this album is a classic just for containing goodbye sober day.

ars moriandi and golem 2 are pretty awesome, though i cant honestly say that there's a bad song in this album. every one of them are downright great.

this album and review is a certified classic to me!

Another guy reviewed this album and made the connection between The Mars Volta's "V'via L'vasquiez" and "Goodbye Sober Day" that I had noticed but failed to mention in the review. Part of the song is nearly the same. Of course, it's a classic salsa riff.
