Zakk is the King of safe metal.

Don't think you can say 'Small fanbase' when they are able to headline The Hammersmith Apollo. That doesn't say small fan base to me dude.

"Tough guy metal."
In the era this came out, Zakk's obsession with motorcycles, leather jackets, lifting weights, cheap beer, shooting guns, talking in a forced deep voice, etc etc. As a whole, almost comically manly and tough guy.
That said, rules. m/

1919 does have some killer jams (i.e. Bleed For Me, Life Birth Blood Doom, etc.). I wish that album had been recorded with this production though.

It's fun as fuck. Nothing ground breaking; just a fun banger.

Sometimes that's all you need: a few instantly satisfying, simple but well executed bangers.

He can't replace what Randy would have been for sure but this dude is a legend. Period. His work on No More Tears especially.

The "Blackened Waters" + "We Live No More" duo was 10/10. Bit of a shame that the first half of the album is so forgettable... fortunately, the rest totally delivered what I expected from an album with such a high average rating.
