The whole history of Nirvana is just loaded with irony.

Mazz567 do you have to be so critical of bands you don't like? Give it a rest will you, jeez.

Personally, I like Nevermind because there aren't any attention whore 20 minute solos and the vocals aren't twisted to opera standards.
I would like to know where one could purchase an album such as the one you described. I wouldn't actually want to listen to it, but if you're comparing Nevermind to something that doesn't exist, then you haven't made a very good comparison.
The music is simply real, and it says something that not many people have the guts or the brain power to say.
I'm glad that you've set your standards for music so low. If only I could enjoy music based on the fact that it is real and exists! I also enjoy Kurt Cobain's ability to speak out on topics such as hypocrisy and teenagers. Chuck D must be reeling from that courageous display!

Mazz567 do you have to be so critical of bands you don't like? Give it a rest will you, jeez. If I don't like a band, am I not allowed to be critical of them? Isn't the purpose of this site to intelligently discuss music? Also, I never said I didn't like Nirvana, I just casually mentioned that there were a lot of reviews for this album on here, and it was not to my knowledge that so many people like Nirvana. And I like Nirvana, too.

i think this album used to be amazing but now its got too much publicity it gets quite pathetic really

Good album lets be honest nothing absolutely groundbreaking but because it has inspired lots of other great artistsit's a must have . But what really annoys me now is that all these lil wannabe alternative latch on to liking Nirvana becasue aparently it makes them 'hardcore'. Well at least that's what it's like in England.Anyway Smells like teen spirit best album opener I'll leave that with with you to think about

This album repeats it self way too much. The guitar work is boring and simple. The lyrics cannont hold my interest.
Get IU or Bleach instead.

The only nirvana I like is the raw, dirty stuff. Bleach, IU, With the lights out. This Message Edited On 10.08.05

Sure, it's not the greatest music in the world, but it's certainly something that shaped the music we have today. Musically, it's nothing. I picked up a guitar and played Smells Like Teen Spirit in 3 minutes. It's alternative for the mainstream. It's an introduction to the world of alternative music. That's how I see it.

Sigh, is this CD worth getting? I was more of a fan of the "pop" side of Nirvana. IU shocked me as to what Nirvana could really be. A loud ear shattering band. Is this album worth buying?
