every song, except Suggestion, is insane, although i do like how he sings really high in the chorus(in Suggestion)

yo this is the greatest album by soad ever, wicked sound, awesome guitar riffs, great drum beats, sweet vocals, it has it all. i think by far it is there best album. nice review man.This Message Edited On 06.19.05

Best SOAD album bar none. They have progressed on from this which is fair enough - but they'll never beat it.
When I first started playing guitar this was the album I used for inspiration, I can play every song on it :thumb:This Message Edited On 06.23.05

Swearing is a part of the language. Accept it, our go join those morons who protest Eminem albums.
That said, I think Mezmerize is their best album. Though the self titled here was better, as far as I'm concerned, than Steal This ALbum and Toxicity. (though Toxicity got me into SOAD initially, I don't really like most of the songs on it anymore.)

I would have to personally spit in the eye of anyone who gave this album less than 5 stars. It's likely my favourite album and Spiders will be played at my funeral. I agree, also, that Darts does kinda seem like filler material, its my least favourite song on the CD. After this one, I like Mezmerise the best, followed by Toxicity and then Steal This Album, which was a bit of a dissapointment

Good review, but I disagree completely..
I used to think the same as you: 5 stars, original, meaningful, good solid heavy riffs but.. If you open your ears, you'll relaise this album, along with Toxicity, is just a mediocre rock album riddled with stupid, stupid, political messages. I just can't take any of it seriously, its more angst filled than a My Chemical Romance song.
My rating: 2 stars, not worth a buy, or even a download..

Ive always like Toxicity better, just because of its flow...But this song is like .0000000005 away from what Toxicity is.
My faves are "Suite-Pee", "SUGAR", and "Suggestions"---"Spiders" and "Darts" are REALLY growing on me.

i could challenge any band to be as madcap or as inventive as SOAD are. Personally, I love this album but it does not flow as well as Toxicity, as mentioned above. Mezmerize is a bit more experimental. It is much less heavy in my opinion.This Message Edited On 09.28.05

This is easily the best SOAD album. Very heavy, very raw, and very exciting. The time signatures are ridiculous and songs like PLUCK and Soil just leave your jaws open.
This is the most entertaining "head-banging" album.
4.5/5 - Excellent at serving its purpose. However, this album will not change your life in any way, shape, or form.
