Atreyu are atrocious. It's not real music, with meaningless concepts that only the saddest of people can relate themselves to.

Album sucks serious cock, too.

Five stars??? This album is in no way perfect. The guitars sound scratchy and thin, the riffs recur in different songs, and there is next to no talent, playing-wise. Also, the singer has an odd habit of sounding like a whiny baby. The death blow, though is the song names and lyrics. Lip gloss and black?? Bleeding mascara? Someone should tell Atreyu to stop whining about how they can't stop crying, and try to write good music for a change.
On the topic of atreyu...this album is decent...so is the curse, but they get extremely boring after about 5 or 6 songs, because all of the songs have the same formula, they dont change anything up...and their drummer is hella lame...he's all "look at me I have a double kick, now watch me use it way too much"...not to mention he's an ugly ****er too
I wouldn't say he overuses it, he uses it sparingly.

You wanna develop that thought? I'm not sure what you're talking about.

escuse me for my ignorance, but what's the difference between metalcore and thrash metal

Thrash metal has an extremely high riff emphasis, moreso than metalcore which is more a subgenre of punk than metal.

The two have roots in punk, but thrash focuses much more on the guitars than anything else, while metalcore seems to want a wall of a sound with a high rhythm emphasis.

It fits. Truthfully, I'd consider them pop-core though. They do have very clear hardcore and metal influences and that general approach that metalcore bands take, but it's heavily pop-influenced as well.

Ok I don't care how much anyone hates this band, Lip Gloss and Black is a freaking awesome song.
