^ Hmm I don't think so. He's won a whole lot of California music awards for best guitarist and heaps of people know he's a great guitarist. Matt Belamy of Muse says he got his whole inspiration for his set up from Tom Morello.

I wouldn't call him underrated either - everyone keeps going on about the ridiculous variety of sounds he gets out of a guitar, which, to be fair, is pretty amazing.

I also just bought the DVD recently, and its really good. High point for me (in both performances) is Freedom. Its just soo god**** great live.

I don't have the DVD...sob...but i do have the CD. I hafta say, it's really great. it sounds AWESOME!!! every time I hear it, I wish I had the money to shell out for a nice DigiTech pedal. Tom Morello is a genius, and Tim Commerford just has this...dunno, I guess an intense bass presence. for me, I could especially feel it in People of the Sun. it just sounds so...COOL! it is really sad to know that RATM is no longer around...they were my 3rd favorite band...behind Led Zeppelin and the Jimi Hendrix Experience.

I think Audioslave is going to put him on the map even more. I personally don't like Audioslave that much, but, well... yeah, that's all I've got.

whether or not you like audioslave, they are going to get more aminstream play/attention than RATM ever did.

I just got this and love it. the best bit is the democratic convention during freedom and killing in the name. main show was wicked also and showed the skill of all the members.

I don't think Morello is that underrated.

Back when these guys were still together, he won the guitarist of the year award like 4 times in a row.

I'm not saying he isn't good, i'm just saying that he has gotten all the credit he deserves.

mad dvd, yeh morellos deffinately got his own unique style but i wouldnt say hes a god. if anything hes overated..ive read interveiws where hes admitted hes not "naturally talented" at guitar, i think it just goes perfectly with tim and brads style.
