I play in Drop D, It's so much heavier. I can't get the same heavy tone that I need, want and like with a standard tuning. Though some cords sound really odd in Drop D.



About the album. It's good, better than Mutter. If you can't understand the words google the lyrics theres a site that has em up in english.

In drop D it's easier to get normal power chords so new opportunities are with drop D, their weakness is not that they have drop D but that they don't use their new opportunity.

First off, I got interested in the band because a guy in my Russian class who's obsessed with German played Amerika and Moskau for me. I though the Russian parts in the song were really cool, and when I was in Wal-Mart today, I got the album, mostly for this song (Ironic, given the tone in Amerika). Anyhow, I must say I'm impressed. Though I can't figure out many lyrics, I still can't stop listening to it. Being a genre I'm not familiar with, I must say I'm impressed with the album as a whole.

why do you all love rammstein??

best album by rammstein, mutter is great but this is just plain awesome...i like the little solo from los, i think its funny, o and the video for kein lust is hilarious

I understand why the review got notched down a bit for the German-ness of it, but in all fairness, they're a German band. But I can see where, from a marketing standpoint, they may want to be a little more culturally diverse. This is my favorite album, Ohne Dich is a phenomonal song. The video is amazing, I actually become sincerely sad when Till falls. The first time I saw it I was angry and sad and I just didn't know what I felt, it was actually kind of funny in retrospect. Reise, Reise is a pretty badass song. The riffs may be a bit juvenile and lacking, but they are powerful nonetheless. Mein Teil is brutal. That song get's me stoked. Keine Lust is f****** sweet also. It's heavy and it's awsome and it just makes me cream my pants every time. That may have been a bit over the top... If you want to see something hilarious, watch the video for Ich Will, then watch the video for Keine Lust. I almost pissed myself laughing when i saw it.

On a side note: to my knowledge, not one song is in Drop D on the album... You probably mean C tuning, which is standard tuning 4 half steps flat. Also, C tuning gives Hard Rock an awesome sound IMO. Bands like Dream Theater and System of a Down use it extensively, and it sounds both evil and awesome.

The album is just awesome! the review doesnt give it its due. The review is way too picky and not open minded about a rock style that has its origin in Germany. and the last review, hard for non-German speakers to understand. Thats stupid! I can look up the translations, hell, even learn the German lyrics myself and sing along. Its stupid to go up to Rammstein and be like, "Your music suck, i cant understand your language.' Just ignorant. This album is flawless

Ohne Dich.....is a great love song on this album. I feel everything that he's saying. One of my favorites, along with.....Moskau, Reise Reise, and Morgenstern.
