i did hear ALL of blood mountain
from the opening drum roll of the wolf is loose all the way to josh homme's "fan letter", plus the rather well-made documentary of the making of blood mountain (yes, i do have the dvd edition)
and despite what i heard, blood mountain was good, but it failed to live up to its hype

Ah ok, you just worded it like you had only heard part of it and made up your mind. Fair enough. I would probably reword it.

From the sky is easily the best song here. The lyrics are genius... and the entire song is beautiful.

This is really good. Been meaning to jam it for a while, but only got to it now. I disagree with the Blood Mountain comments, however. I really love the drumming on that album and think it's one of the best assets there.

Most songs on it are enjoyable to me. An album I can get back to from time to time and never gets boring. The other 2 reviews have the wrong rating, it's much better than 3.0.
the drummer is very fast but the drumming sounds mechanical, almost like a robot when compared to other bands like Meshuggah, Mnemic and Threat Signal for example. But I have no problem with that, it fits nicely in this album.
