I don't care for this at all. There are some good moments, but Kurt sounds pretty smacked out pretty often.

Agreed^. Kurts vocals weren't great on this album. But considering it was a live album he probably wasn't sober. He was most likely drunk or on drugs that could have impared his singing capabilities some

Yeah that's pretty much how they sounded live. But he butchers more songs on here. I like the box set, but I find this painful to listen to all the way through.

i think the vocals are really good on this album. i always thought nirvana were better live then in the studio cause they dont just play exactly what they did in the studio (and if they did its just fun to watch them) but you cant see them on a cd. this is an awesome cd and a pretty sweet review.

I'm a big fan of noise. The Velvet Underground is my favorite band, and Sonic Youth is awesome too.
Now I'm probably going to catch hell for this next statement: Nirvana, while still good, is the most overrated band in history. Unplugged is really, really good, maybe they shoulda kept it accoustic (I hear Cobain was planning on enlisting a permanent cellist before he killed himself).
This live album is a goodun, as are all their albums, but they're just not THAT good. Cobain even said himself that they were not the kind of band that should be what they were. I gotta agree. Nirvana fans, go ahead and rip me a new one!

Indeed, Nirvana's charm was in live performances.

Nirvana live were just brilliant, i just wish i was 15 years older so i could have gone to a concert.

Wow, this version of "Scentless Apprentice" is killer. I love live Nirvana.
BTW, Storm in a Teacup is a troll. Just saying.
@dudeinthepassinglane
That took guts. Kudos. I admit, Nevermind and even In Utero are overrated to some extent, but I think the reason why so
many people like Nirvana is more for the band's personality than the actual music. Kurt was a really interesting person
compared to most rock stars. Plus, unlike some other famous bands (Weezer, Aerosmith, Green Day, Metallica, heck, even
Led Zeppelin had some rather average material in their later years), Nirvana quit while they were ahead, instead of going downhill and making former fans cry.

yeah sorry UncleTater but you're one of the least intelligent users to ever "grace" this site
trying to get people banned in the meds thread won't change that

I have a reason for trying to get him banned, you moron. He has done nothing but insult me on this review's comments.
He's an immature troll, and his comments should be taken down. If you think that trying to have justice served and posting
my opinion is unintelligent, you're the unintelligent one.
You know what? Screw this. I'm gonna get myself banned. Bye.
