Slipknot is a awesome band. I personally like slipknot better with corey. Anders was alright, but back then slipknot was more instumental talented then now the only good thing about the 1996 Slipknot. Not that they arent badass now. I agree with superpeer about slipknot being nu-metal aka (RAP-CORE) Why u ask? because of some of their rap songs and the turntables. Iowa i give 5/5

Slipknot was the band that turned me onto metal, quite frankly Iowa is they're third best album (S/T and Mate.Feed.Kill.Repeat far surpass this). I was very dissapointed with Vol. 3, simply because Slipknot has changed way too much (sell-outs?) The lyrics, the singing, and even the riffs and such just don't compare to what they used to be.



But this is about Iowa, I was disappointed with this album when it first came out because of rumors that the whole album was supposed to be as heavy as Eeyore. After listening to it a few times though, I grew to like it. Still doesn't compare to their S/T, Joey Jordison goes absolutely nuts on that album. I suggest everyone listen to it again, because (sic) blows my mind everytime I hear it.This Message Edited On 07.15.05

I haven't heard the whole thing, but I have heard Left Behind, My Plague, Metabolic, and The Heretic Anthem. Cool songs. Hoping to get the album sometime soon.

i think this album is average, wasn't as better as the s/t but still it wasn't horrible.

S/T was good, but from what I've heard off of this, they pretty much duplicated the formula...

I don't see why people make fun of SlipKnoT so much they are fucking awsome. They are the craziest and best head-banging music around these days. Iowa gets a 4.5/5 from me B!TCH3S!!!!

I strongly disagree with the statement that it is practically a remake of Slipknot. For me, it evokes different feelings. This is influenced by the different sounds, different vocals, and different drumming (Yes, if you listen, you can tell that Corey's voice is actually different in every album. His screaming has declined, IMO).

Oh and another thing, their self-titled may be hard and aggressive, but I think that Iowa is the ultimate rage album. In middle school, I was quite picked on. There is nothing self-pitying about going home after a bad day of torment and popping on "People=Shit." If anything, it is empowering beyond belief.

Yeah, "people=sh!t" is one of those songs that gets you pumped up. So does , "the heretic anthem".
