well, lunch, why can't you listen to something you don't agree with? I tend to be a little more right wing in terms of politics, and most of the bands I listen to are fairly left wing. Godspeed are Anarchists, I think that anarchism is stupid.
Because I am not you. What kind of argument is this? Because you treat music a certain way I should too?
Maybe I have different standards.
And there is a story to ITAOTS, it's certainly not wholly auto biographical anyway and as he has stated he's agnostic it would be logical to assume that is not written from his perspective.

Stumbled on these guys just the other day and I am absolutely loving this album both musically and vocally (the lyrics don't really catch me except for perhaps the opening of 'hoodwink') but still a fantastic set of songs.

I don't like the songs. I find them boring and irritating. If I wanted to justify my rating at length I would review it. The Pitchfork review identifies most of the reasons this is no good and is also pretty funny.
