Summary isn't really against GY!BE, it's stating that newcomers to post-rock should get this and possibly transition to Godspeed. I might get this.

Post-Rock is far from my favorite genre of music... In fact, it usually puts me to sleep! 'People Like People Like You', the debut release from Manchester quintet Spokes, is an exception. While they have all the usual attributes of their peers, Spokes have a few things going for them. Firstly, despite a 10 minute track that is far too long, the album clocks in at a near-perfect 6 tracks & 37 minutes. Also, while it is predominantly instrumental, occasional vocals add welcome variety. And finally, the prominent violin melodies are simply majestic. Recommended Tracks: We Like to Dance and Steal Things, Young People! All Together & End Credits/Love Letter.
