My mother adored prince & due to my lack of admiration for her I never got in to’em until I was 17.
This album, the movie (I bought on blue ray) is the best at what it is. Again, I rarely outwardly
state my disapproval for a musician’s inclination to alter their musical core, but man… from my
perspective this era of his music is his most vehement & creative effort. I’m not into anything of the
80’s ultimately, except this album. I don’t know if it’s the vulnerability of his youth that just
brought this beauty out of him, but this is amazingly outstanding from anything I’ve ever heard from
him or any other musician for that matter & I have over 250 gigs of mp3’s.
