still the most dense album ive ever listened to. not dense in a difficult way but dense in an exploratory, intriguing way. i still hear things i never heard before every time i spin it.
its been more than 10 years and still nothing released since then has come close to creating the kind of music contained in this album. challenging but listenable, experimental but engaging.
autechre are not the most important musicians of this century because of how far theyve taken music away from being music (which is what most experimental artists tend to try to do), but because how far theyve been able to expand the limits of music that is still engaging in a way that music is meant to be.
its not like visiting a new world, but looking at the world you already inhabit in an entirely new way.

haha i liked casein early on, but yeah triangle took some time for me to truly appreciate
i think i had this at a 4 when i first rated it, then one day it just all made sense.
