This debut really shows the talent & potential of Paramore. It’s a little rough around the edges and drifts away during its middle section, but after its catchy pop-punk opening quartet, the real surprise comes in the form of the slower 2 closers which display a genuine songwriting maturity that is beyond the bands years. Hayley Williams has a strong voice for a teenage girl, while the guitar & drum-work is more than sufficient. Recommended Tracks: Pressure, Emergency, My Heart & Brighter.

Great album. "Emergency" will always be one of my all-time favorites. I wish they would've released
the screamo version of it on the album though.
I can't believe you gave "Here We Go Again" the lowest rating of the songs.. I thought it was one of
the highlights of the album

Paramore's best. Don't get me wrong, I like their new stuff, but I liked them best whenever it wasn't all about Hayley. I like how on this album there are vocals from Josh also.. And even some screaming in My Heart

Man when I first heard this album I thought Paramore had some serious potential to break the mold of mediocre bands that have a female singer. Unfortunately Paramore never really did that and released more of the same stuff (Which I liked mind you) and became an above average band with a female singer, besides their newest album of course... *shudders*
