Yeah, Synergy is by far their best album. Undeceived being their next best and Burial right after that (IMO of course ). Blueprint is another style totally, more of a post metal or post rock sound to it. Not brutal, more melodic and subdued, oozing with emotion. If you're into death metal, this isn't the album you should get into, or black metal.

Not even halfway through this and already thinking this sucks compared to their previous releases.

It's pretty techy and melodic, really dynamic band. Undeceived has a ton of bm stuff going on aswell, i figure you'd love it

Probably up there in my top five favorite albums of anything ever. And I'm not even much of a fan of their other albums.

This album is considerably more similar to Azusa than the self-titled

That's right, but Heavy Yoke has a good deal of Synergy as well.

Ole Borud is absent on this one, Christer Espevoll also had his fair share in the songwriting on Synergy.

This is wildly inconsistent and some of the cleans are a little off-putting, it's a shame because there are some decent ideas here, even if the execution is lacking at times. I'm struggling to stay engaged with this one.

Basically a Deftones b-side album.
