From releasing an album in a made up language to the use of the bow to create ambient soundscapes on an electric guitar, the music of Sigur Ros is truly unique and one of a kind.
Jimmy Page used a bow on his guitar, and Iluvator and others took their name from a made up languages, but I voted so nevermind. This Message Edited On 01.07.08

I didn't assume that Sigur Ros was the first to do either of those things. However, both those aspects are used by Sigur Ros to make a unique sound which a listener can attribute to Sigur Ros quite easily.

This is pretty good, but not nearly as good as people are hyping it up as. Some great perfomances, and some excellent shots of Iceland, but half of it is pretty boring tbh.

Amazing, amazing movie. The songs are all far superior to their respective versions on the CDs imo.
