reznor, i take it you've heard Mudvayne's LD 5.0?

I'm not a fan of nu-metal at all really. As a genre, it's not hard to pick out the diamonds from the rough. And the diamonds in the genre are Five Pointe O, Mudvayne and possibly Atomship.

'Nothing To Gein' 'World So Cold' by Mudvayne, 'Purity 01' and 'Aspire, Inspire' by Five Pointe O are the best songs in nu-metal ever IMO.

As I said, I wouldn't call Mudvayne nu-metal.

Alternative metal, maybe; or progressive metal.

Yeah, i just think that Mudvayne have enough elements of nu-metal in them to still call them nu-metal. Alternative metal probably does suit them better though.

Anyways, you really owe it to yourself to check out Five Pointe O. I think Bartender has a review of them on here. 'Purity 01' and 'The Infinity' are fuckin kickass
