Rick Rubin did produce this. Did a good job too.

Anyone else like Flav's solo stuff on this album? While it's not nearly as good as Chuck D's, it's still comical and fun to listen to.

I can't agree more. Hearing Flava Flav go "yeeaaaaaa, boiii" makes me cringe, however. Awesome album, nontheless.

Chuck D. is one of the most coolest, bad-ass guys on the planet. He speaks his mind and says what ever the f*#^ he wants to say. It is such a breath of fresh air from rap "artists" like 50 Cent who just talk about drinking Bacardi and exploiting women in their videos. PE was to rap as Dead Kennedys were to punk: smart.

I keep hearing great stuff about Public Enemy. I don't really like rap music but I'll have to check these guys out some time.

One of the best albums of ever produced, regardless of genre. This is one of those albums that changed the world. Without it there wouldn't be Rage Against the Machine or DJ Shadow.

I am not traditionally a rap fan but this album is just phenominal! This is probably the best rap album ever produced.

Rick Rubin was the executive producer, but it was produced by members of The Bomb Squad.

If I remember rightly, this was the second album I ever bought myself, the first one being: Yo! Bum Rush the Show.

It was 1988 and I was 10yrs old. Man, did this album blow me away and put a smile on my face!! It still sounds good today. Personal favourites are "Night of the Living Baseheads" and "Black Steel in the Hour of Chaos"
