There's fast parts, slow parts, thrashy parts, black metal parts, clean vocals, folk-esque parts, plenty of neo-classical shredding, and even a bit of ambience at the end of "Beautiful Death".

Ha, a page to late but these are my favorites in order:
1 Beautiful Death (basically what you said eakflanderyof. Words cannot describe how awesome ths is, I love the chorus, the chugging riffs, the solo, the outro, this song is damn near perfect.)
2 Starchild (almost as good as BD imo. The intro riff is sick, and the keyboard brea that starts part 3 is awesome. Plus this song has some of my favorite lyrics ever)
3 Winter Madness (Pretty much the perfect fusion of neoclassical shredding and folk metal, and with an awesome solo)
4 Sadness and Hate (the clean vocal part in the middle sends chills down my spine every time, and this was the first song over 10 minutes long i'd ever heard)
5 Battle Against Time (similar to WM, repetitiveness is this song's only flaw, this song is pretty much tied with S&H for 4th)
6 Death and the Healing (the guitar solo in the middle is one of my favorites ever. Beautiful Song)
7 Sleeping Stars (the beginning lasts a tad long imo, but when the actual riff kicks in this song gets awesome. Doesnt stand out to me as much as the other tracks though)
8. BeyonD the Dark Sun (some of the best riffing ever. The only reason its my least favorite is because its so goddamn short.)

I dont think it's accurate at all. It's teh same thing over and over, Thor is only emphasizing tiny shifts to support his rating, not that there's anything wrong with that.
