Strangely enough, i prefer this album over Eternity. I partially blame that on my expectations for Eternity being different than what the end product was. With this album I knew what to expect and wasn't so taken aback. Having said that, im shocked to see that Forgotten Hopes was not included in you checkout tips.

This album is better than Eternity so it's not strange.

So is this or A Natural Disaster better? Or are they too different to compare?

Yes and no.....I'm not sure how to contrast them really. This one definitely has more overall energy, but I would get A Natural Disaster for the tracks Pulled Under At 2000 Meters Per Second and Are You There

For 2 tracks? Is that all it has going for it?

They are both awesome. A Natural Disaster is more Radiohead-y; personally I like most of the album, especially Pulled Under, Electricity, Flying, Balance, Are You There (though the acoustic version is better) and Closer.

The whole album is pretty great though.

This is a bit better overall I guess (i think the end is a bit patchy because I don't really like emotional winter or wings of god that much)This Message Edited On 01.18.09

Well I think I will get A Natural Disaster then. I liked their latest compositions (Angels Walk Among Us, Everything) a lot, so i guess A Natural disaster will be a closer sound than this.

This is closer to Alternative 4. But both records are amazing (and a fine day to exit is gold as well)

I thoroughly enjoy Alternative 4. I will get both/all 3 in the end.

i checked this out after being so in love with Hindsight and wow... it's pretty fucking great. It definitely has a Porcupine Tree vibe

i think it's more of a pink floyd vibe that permeates them, but then pt is accurate too because pt have always had a floydy influence in there

hahaha the intro of "emotional winter" is pretty much a pink floyd song

I've had this for a while now and I just can't seem to get into it. 2/5 after three listens so far. The Pink Floyd plagerism just doesn't do it for me.

I know I'm missing something and that's why I've held off rating it. I will give it another go.

You might not be missing anything if you hate the Pink Floyd influence. It doesn't really bother me that it took some "borrowing of ideas" in order for them to get back on track.
