This and Lifeforms are the only real 'required' listening from this band. For a different take on the whole alien soundcape thing you could also get 'Orbus Terrerum' by The Orb.

I actually have two albums by The Orb on my Iphone that I've never listened to. Everyone is always telling me how good they are so I should really get around to checking them out. Thanks for the suggestions Scissor.

so..I just started to listen to this and reminds me of The Orb's Underworld album, but darker and the music almost feels like you're in a abyss (if that makes any sense). Like the mood and atmosphere are totally unnerving.

yah lifeforms is their undisputed masterpiece but this is a great listen. been a while since i've heard either though

ISDN stands strong with both this and lifeforms honestly

also you cant forget how massive of a track papua new guinea is

also apparently their from the archives comps are amazing as well, but i havent checked them out yet

yep that glass and yage are all top tier

idk i listened to the first 3 tracks once and it was pretty bad

you really should listen to lifeforms first so you get an idea of that the FSOL sound is like before jumping into this

they are all about off the wall sampling and i can see where it could be offputting if you just throw yourself into it
