I completely agree with Iluvatar, I thought this was a major step down for the band. What's scary is they tried to produce this themselves, with "guidance" from Vig. I think they need to stick to producers that try to push them different ways, maybe they need the tension or something. Waaaay too clean to bring out the strengths of the band, and the songs just seemed flat and too lush and clean for me.

The one song on this album is mediocre.

I was highly disappointed in this album.

This may be due to the word "pop" in pop rock accurately describing the music.



It lost the Jimmy Eat World touch and went happy-go-lucky mainstream.



I will agree that the music is very well written, though.
