I agree with blacklistadapted, I think this album is a massive improvement on FITF. Tthe production compliments the music a lot more, and I think the prominence of double bass worked great too.

Shadetree Mechanics is epic, probably my favourite song of theirs from all their albums - the guitar work is sick

Shadetree Mechanics is really good, but that's all I've heard. I won't be picking this up after reading the review, but oh well, I've heard enough -core bands for the moment anyway. This Message Edited On 02.01.09

the production is the best part about this album. song construction is junky. and even though his screaming hasn't changed, it just sounds better overall. his non-screaming is much better than that frog croaking he used to do

when I saw these guys live they were rocking so hard I almost did five backflips

Hmmm, this album rocked me six ways to Sunday. It's not revolutionary, but it works.

Man this shit reeeeeeeeeeeeeally grows on you. I loooove the first two plus their eps and at first really did not like this at all but maan this is pretty damn good. Not really any weak songs, you just have to accept that this album is different (just like their other stuff, found in the flood and flask are nothing alike.) So pumped for their new one!!

I'd rather pry my toenails off than listen to this band. Absolutely terrible and not even deserving of a rating.

I honestly think this is their best album now, the singing vocals are SO much better on it than any other bled album, the guitars while understated are unique and melodic. I also especially love the dreamy sounding parts on this album

Their best album I'd say. The vocal work is outstanding.

I think this is alot better than you make it out to be, the atmospherics of this album are sick and it was a nice progression for them, it kinda reminds me of dredg. I suprised you hardly mentioned breathing room barricades, that song is sick, it's probably the best song on the album
