Colony, that albums owns all of their newer work, but you can't go wrong with Jester Race either.

I actually would go with Whoracle over those 2 albums. But both Colony and Jester Race are still solid albums.

^^ Yeah mudvaynian, I personally think whoracle is the best cause IMO it's their heaviest. Yeah it's overrated but hell, you can't argue it's still an awesome album

eh, I've always thought that Jester Race combined with Black-Ash Inheritance (they come together now) is, and quite possibly always will be the pinnacle of In Flames career

I'm going to not say what everybody expects me to say here, and just agree with you. That'll fool yous.
Personally I can't pick IF's best. I'd have to say they have three equal best, being Colony, JR/BAI, and Whoracle.

TROOF^. I dont know why everyone is so big on Whoracle. I didnt like it nearly as much as this album. The riffs and the vocals and everything are just sooo much better than Whoracle.

Does no one here appreciate The Jester Race? After hearing that, I can't in good conscience rate albums like this and Colony anywhere near their best.

I don't think it's that great, it lacks variety that the newer stuff has, which is why I like the newer In Flames more, variety.

This album was enjoyable, but I didn't think it was anything outstanding. In Flames just doesn't amaze me.

Best In Flames album imo

Clayman + Only For the Weak are the catchiest songs ever

I haven't heard a lot of In Flames, but then again, Death Metal ain't really "my thing".
I didn't like your review.

Clayman and Colony are both underrated IF albums, IMO. I just liked Colony at first, but the more I listened to it, the better it got. So what I'm saying is that I believe Colony is one of those albums you have to listen to a lot before you realize its true brilliance.

To ValiumMan: This isn't really death metal or even melodic death for that matter. If you haven't looked into any Gothenburg bands, then you should. This Message Edited On 02.12.07

Good review, though it woulv been much better if each song had a review like the first 3. Only think I disagree with is the ratings for clayman (the song) and another day in quicksand. I'd give clayman 4.5/10 and ADIQ a 5/5, it's one of the best on the album.

I assume you meant 4.5/5 for Clayman. I would give Clayman a 5/5.
