Chthonic is the only metal band that i know of that comes from Taiwan. With that said, they are one of the best Melodic Black Metal bands that i have ever heard. They are starting to rank up there with bands like Cradle Of Filth and Emperor in my opinion. Not quite there yet, but i have a feeling that this band is going to be legendary.

Old Cradle was pretty solid. Chthonic is severly underrated on Sputnik but huge elsewhere. Hate this review.

when i first saw this album i was intrigued as to what a taiwanese black metal band would sound like, i loved it! especially bloody gaia fulfilled, they got nothin on the likes of dimmu borgir right now but they might do in the future

Everything I've heard from Dimmu was crap, so I don't need to continue on. Chthonic slays. For a folk/black metal band, they sure got a alot of positive press from ozzfest as they should be. This band rules and Doris is pretty hot. Bloody Gaya Fufilled and Quasi Putrefaction pretty much define epic.

All of Dimmu's albums are really good except for Spiritual Black Dimensions IMO. I will agree that this kills some of Dimmu's stuff, mostly the newer stuff.
