this is one of my least favorite Cure albums overall, but damn. the international bonus tracks and B-sides for this are all really top-notch, would've made the album a lot better if they had been included instead of some of the tracks here.

Yeah the first 2 songs on this are insane. Before Three hits hard too but for totally different reasons. And The Promise is like the best closer ever I'm pretty sure.

This album is a massive nostalgia bomb for me but I've only just begun listening to the international bonus tracks. My first reaction was irritation at how haphazardly they are strewn about the album, breaking up the flow I had grown used to but listening to them more closely now, holy feck they are good. Going Nowhere especially feels like a deep cut from Bloodflowers, it's sublime. These tracks make me yearn for more depressed and dramatic Robert Smith as selfish as that sounds. The happy-go-lucky Cure is very hit-or-miss with me.

As a future teacher, I'd say the drawing shows more than you can see.. I learnt through teachers that one can detect that a child has been raped only by seeing his/her drawings. So pay attention to that kind of things.
