Some top tier 90's pop rock right here.

Between this album and Matchbox Twenty, sappy but well-written and creative late-90s/early-naughts alt/pop-rock has been scratching an itch for me recently.

Thanks for the rec Observer, spun a couple singles from that album a couple days ago and enjoyed them - will check the album in full within the next few days

Great to hear! I guess sappy isnt a real good descriptor for it, as Good tends to be darker and pessimistic. If you dig that though, check his solo album Avalanche, one of my absolute favorites ever

Don't act like you wouldn't smash

like most GGD albums, when it's Johnny singing you're like this is great stuff. When it's Robbie it's like "oh....skip"

New album is their best since Let Love In. It's still generic, but it's less tepid/lifeless and the songs swell with the kind of emotion I've been missing from these guys.
