Out today. I'm picking it up and giving that bonus EP a listen, may do a separate review.

The bonus EP is pretty awesome. "Electric Rainbow" is just fun and has an AWESOME lead riff/hook in the chorus. "Patiently Waiting" is the real oddity though, it's almost completely electronic except for the drums. Alex Rose pretty much owns that song. The P.O.S. Remix for "Knights" is cool but pales in comparison to the standard version, and the demo version of "Ice Monster" is a cool, rougher take of the song. Well worth the $13 for both.

Strizz, I can completely understand your need to write a raving, fully fleshed-out review of this record. It simply is a nearly-flawless album that I cannot stop listening to and talking about. I am surprised by most reviews lack of praise for "White Mystery" howeever. It is so rare to hear a band of any kind write/sing about sex/love in such a beautiful, serious way while also being melodically and artistically amazing if that makes sense. Already a huge MTB fan before this record, I easily consider Planet album of 2007 so far. Very hard for me to articulate how much this album means to me for some reason. 4.75/5 if possible.

What "Bonus EP" are you referring to? I want to get my hands on as much MTB as possible at this point. I want to know where I can purchase it/ download it. One more thing, I believe Snider's lyrics are woefully underrated. He effortlessly conveys such complex emotions/moments of time beautifully in such short verses and choruses. At his best, it's like each line is a knock-out punch in a fight. I feel like the with musicianship worty of heavy praise, the lyrical excellence can be overshadowed. Snider and MTB have consistently written lyrics that just take me somewhere in my mind that I love to be. I know that sounded really weird but its hard to really articulate. And yes, I am aware of how gushing-fan I sound like right now.

LOL dude I totally hear that. This record owns me, no doubts about it. I really, really wanted to give this a 5, but figured I'd let it sink in for a few more months, even though it's pretty much a personal classic for me already.

The bonus EP came with the first pressing of the CD. I'm sure you can find it at Best Buy or Target, or just AIM me - STFDood84. There's also a bonus track on iTunes ("Cat Calls & Ill Means"). As for their other records, get the We Make Beer Commercials Like This EP next, then Menos El Oso and Highly Refined Pirates.

This CD is so great. I never really got into older Minus the Bear stuff, but I can't get enough of this. I might have to check out the older stuff again.

Lengthy review, but I enjoyed it very much.

Had to bump my rating to a 5, this album is too good. Easily the best of 2007 IMO.
