Yup. I still don't think it touches Pet Sounds, but if you took the 5-6 best songs off here combined with the 5-6 best songs of Summer Days I think 1965 looks pretty decent compared to the boys in '66.

This album is getting closer to a 5 with every listen, shame the last track exists though because that's probably going to prevent it from ever reaching that point

After first listen I'd only give this a 7/10, but there seems to be so many passionate fans for this LP, so I wonder if I'm missing something? I'll continue to listen to it before giving it a rating. Beach Boys often give me uncomfortable David Lynch vibes, like I'm in some sort of Blue Velvet hallucinatory dream. I dig it. A lot of these songs I grew up with bc of my dad, but I always thought they were lame, but since I've come to love Pet Sounds and Smile, I wanted to give their other celebrated material a chance.
