Ummmmm, Emperor's In The Nightside Eclipse is another good album to get into black metal with.

once again blackmilk, you are wrong. Satyricon did have some pretty good material in the old days but they will never par with Emperor.

I fell backwards off my chair laughing at that. Great review, not so solid of an album though. I will check this album out again in the future. Emperor's "Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk" and Enslaved's "Ruun" are excellent entry albums to BM.

Yes, The Shadowthrone and Dark Medieval Times are both ace.
