This album was good, but no where near a 5 (imo). Decent review, though I think you used the lyrics a bit too much. You could have described the music a bit more too.

In the midst of a fading American melodic death metal scene

I too am glad this band is getting more exposure and attention. I havent heard anything off this album yet but as good as their first was I couldnt imagine this being worse haha.

Has to be better than the new Arch Enemy song I heard...bleh

They actually carry this at best buy. A good step forward for them IMO.

I really like the itunes samples. They kind of seem to fit into the same sound as bands like Arsis and The Concubine which is a good thing. I could be very wrong but that's just my first impression. I need to check this out more in depth, good reivew too.

Excellent review, you covinced me to check this out. Even though this is a step up from their crappy first album, this album is just hit and miss. Their is some really fantastic guitar work on this song (especially the chorus on Dead and Gone) but it still sounds so damn generic in some spots as well. Hopefully with time, this album may grow on me.

I am listening to this album right now and I'm really liking it.

There are some really nice guitar leads, and the whole album is windmill headbangable.

Slowly but surely my rating is going up for this album. Im beginning to believe that their is hope for the melodic/ thrash metal genre unlike the many shitty revival thrash bands that have come up in the last 5 years.
