That sequence is just amazing.

album has some solid moments, and some very disappointing moments.

This album is actually pretty good to chill out too. It's definitely not quintessential De la but it's still fucking good and deserves better than this review gives it. Some of these beats are really fucking tight.

Oh man this is so wrong. This is pretty much my go-to De La Soul album these days. Chill and fun af.

I'm going to listen to this and write a review. I feel like it didn't get a fair shot considering the circumstances of the review.

They've done better albums, imo.

idk man it's bit up-down and not really that swingin', i've never heard a dilla track at quite that pitch either. maybe it's a super early dilla instrumental from back when he was "trying to be pete rock" or somethin' - just my two cents

yeah I dunno what you're hearing man tbh its from a DIlla session he played himself in 96 its the original beat not the album instrumental, They obvs touched up the mids a bass a lil on the album version and it kinda pops more but apart from that.....
