Dis album's good. I just think Vertigo's more interesting and has stayed with me much longer. And that's saying a lot because Puzzle's the first album I heard from them. I also like the "schizo-pop" vibe on Vertigo more, this is more polished. But to each his own...

I know it's not as good as the other albums but it's still a million times better than loads of the rubbish clogging up the charts, and just cause they've gotten successful doesn't mean they're not the same old band, they're all still three totally normal guys who are always happy to talk, and play music. If some other bands had had the explosion that this album gave them they'd have become pompous idiots, so all Puzzle haters just be thankful we've still got the Biffy we know and love, even if they've just changed a little bit in style

A great album that I prefer to vertigo. It's more quiet but it's really good. Special mention to who's got a match, the conversation is over, 9/15 ths, get fucked stud and most of the others... . In fact this album is really good in its whole. Almost no filler. This Message Edited On 09.21.08

Is the whole album worth hearing, or just the singles? If you've heard them all. I forget how many there have been.

idk, it's personal taste i guess. i mean i like saturday superhouse, living is a problem because everything dies and machines although it's really soppy and homo
i would dig a thousand holes just to lie next to you or something like that, haven't listened in long
i know living was a single, were the other two?

singles were Semi-Mental, Saturday Superhouse, Living is a Problem Because Everything Dies, Folding Stars, Machines & Who's Got A Match?
Looking at all those I forget how many I've heard so I may well just look into the whole album.

may as well yeah

Whenever a band has some success, they are accused of selling out.
This album is as good if not better than Infinity or Vertigo.

I could've bought this for like £6 the other day, but I'd already spent £70 on CDS and shit so I had to leave it. I'm hoping it'll still be that price when I go back.

Biffy Clyro’s 4th LP is a fantastic crossover release that nicely combines their previous unusual musical dynamics & wacky lyrics with greater melodies & hooks. There’s a bit of Muse, Foo Fighters & Queens of the Stone Age here, but it’s most definitely still all Biffy. The production never gets too slick, while anything resembling a gimmick is used sparingly enough to add value to most songs. Not everything works perfectly, but it is always interesting… And when the 6 singles are as good as they are, then who cares anyway!? Recommended Tracks: Living Is A Problem Because Everything Dies, Machines, Saturday Superhouse & Semi-Mental.

Used to think this was a bit generic and boring but it's quite grown on me. Not sure where to go next...only revolutions? Or their much older stuff.

their older stuff is better, if generic is a concern they get more generic with every album after this

Living is a Problem Because Everything Dies is so goddamn good. Not a huge fan of the band, but this album rules.
