two average genres musically speaking. Put them together and this is the product, I have listened to this album and am not impressed, some scam to make more money from older songs, poor.

Wow, 1 of the less entertaining bands from the rock world, teamed up with a hip-hop legend, I've got 1 word for this CD, Wow. What else could be more worse than a bunch of **** musicians, they should call this CD, 'The Worst Of Both Worlds'. What a crock.

You guys calling it a cash-in album just need to ****ing relax. It wasn't LP's idea to make the album, they were approached by Jay z's people.

i was personally a huge fan of LP

they brought me out of the dark side and helped me see the light
(they made me love rock and start to despise rap)
since i have loved every albulm(even reanimation), but when i heard of this i refused to buy it
i hope they got paid a lot bc they'll need to stay in a studio for years to get back to the way they were
they need to quit all this pop crap, and break into metal... real metal
or at least chester should start his own band with him screaming/singing cause he has an awesome voice
im pretty sure shinoda could even belt out a couple yells every now and then
brad should start playing solos to show people he can play cause im beggining to wonder...
anyway ive moved on to better music...anyone reviewed All That Remains' this darkened heart?.... or Caliban's the opposite from within?

If anyone in LP is genuinely talented, it IS Mike Shinoda. He really doesn't flex this talent much with LP, but has quite an innovative - or at least interesting - approach to hip hop when he does other collaborative works.

Another thing to note: I've heard recordings of Delson attempting to solo and - it's really best if he sticks to what he's good at.

ok then, but they could still play way heavier stuff than breaking the habit
one or two songs like numb can be tolorated as long as the cd isnt less than 45 min.
and yeah shinoda is one of the few,no the only (i guess the term) "emcee" i can stand bc he doesnt ramble on about meaningless garbage, he is good at that

i've downloaded the tracks from the ep and i did not like, mainly because of Linkin Park and simply the fact that the songs just didn't fit with each other.

for some reason i can see jay-z and led zeppelin working really well.

otherwise good review. its always cool to see the more chart-oriented stuff on here. i've been thinking of reviewing the Black Album for some time now.

awesome review...but i disagree with you on the track ratings. «dirt/lying» has one of the best intros EVER, and in my opinion it sort of pwns «99 problems».

other than that great review, but you forgot to mention the album is 25 minutes long and we pay full bucks for it...*cough* ripoff! *cough*

Much cooler album. Jay-Z > Linkin Park by far.

Jonno - I hate you.

I thought this was not very good. Basically just an uninspired money scheme. Jay-Z is better without LP and visa versa.

Yea I really hate this album. I bought it just to have it so I can have a full catalogue of LP and this is record label puppet album number 3, behind of course Reanimation and Live in Texas. Linkin Park can't make Jay-Z sound better when as a rapper Jay-Z puts Mike Shinoda to shame. I also hated all the backing vocals they had Chester do, it just sounds bad to me when he is saying in that range and that style.

I saw them on television for the Live 8 thing, and it was horrible. Jay-Z was actually good, but the rest of the band just totally sucked.

Chester can't sing. Period.
