I find this album more upbeat and uplifting than the band's first two releases, yet that's also the reason why I find this slightly weaker. Interestingly enough I think the mid-section of the album is musically the most interesting, as songs like "Roadhouse Blues" and "The Spy" simply don't do it for me. "Ship of fools" and "Land Ho!" however, are brilliantly written and so damn quirky.
