never thought people that appreciated the art of music would be so stereotypical. i think i deciphered a decent opinion of the album through all this "emo" bs, hope it's good.

Randy that was the most completely off base definition of emo that you could state. As iluvator said, emo is a definition of a genre that refers to a specific thing. To believe something otherwise is just dismissing what is correct.

One of the members of the band said "If you love Bert's voice ur going to love the album, if you hate his voice you are going to hate the album." Thats no really true, but in ur case astrel that might be it.

Emo is just anything where the band wears mostly black, the singer probably has longer hair which often covers part of the face (see AFI and 30 Seconds To Mars [not labelling the bands as emo, just referring to their singers]), most of the band's fingernails are painted black, the singing is whiney and the sound is kind of pop-punk. Oh and you have to blow issues way out of proportion and think life is really terrible when dealing with everyday things. There you go. Oh and you also have to think that everyone is against you. And if you're male you are probably gay, or most people think you are anyway. And eye make-up, can't forget the old eye-liner, the emo trademark. And you've probably also contemplated suicide a few times, some of your friends might have even gone all the way. And you are the only one who understands that the music you listen to is actually the best music in the world and no one else can understand how you relate to it, except maybe for a few of your fellow emos. And sometimes you cut yourself just to see how much it hurts, because you know what pain feels like so well, your life is all pain. That's emo.

several of the heavier pop-punk-ish emo bands (if that even makes sense) are ripping a off of Queen lately. Take My Chemical Romance for example.
