Yeah, Wake Up Call is one of my favorites. I heard Can't Stop was going to be the next one, though.

True, they're all so fking catchy. And great. Except for the bonus track, but we'll just pretend that it dosen't exist.

Meh. I liked those two tracks. Not as great as the other tracks, but still. I can't believe I didn't find out about the myspace secret show for this until nearly a month after the fact. It's still being advertised....

All in all a great CD, any one would make a decent next single I feel.

It's a good pop record. It's going to become a staple in my car's CD collection.

yeah i agree the record is a great second album but it does have a plastic feel to it. most of the songs are good but some are just dire. HOwever, maroon 5 are definatly the best band around these days full stop. Great review btw. x

Yeah, it’ll sound like James Blunt or Daniel Powter at times, but then a weird groove will kick in and you’ll remember that you aren’t that gay.
Wow that made me laugh out loud. good review. I finally heard their single and it's pretty damn good. They're one of the few true maintstream groups that I actually enjoy and appreciate.

a suprisingly good album

Mhmm. The band as a whole is a good refresher in pop music.

"Maroon 5 are, simply, the best pop rock act around today."
uh, no. Crowded House are better.
i haven't heard this, yet your (good) review was surprisingly persuasive (even if it was unbelievably fanboyish).
didn't like their first album much, probably because i don't like really really mainstream music (except for the good ones...) but i might pick this up if i need to get a present for my girlfriend.
PS: the cover reminds me of Status Quo.
PPS: and the fact that i will hear every single off this about 1000 times in a week will give me another reason to put this in the "really bored" category. This Message Edited On 09.27.07

there are so many good songs on this album, and i was very impressed with how well this cd turned out for Maroon 5. i still can't get enough of the song "make me wonder" it's such a great single.

This was a great pop album, I bought it when it came out but not really knowing what to expect. It's different from "Jane," but almost has the same feel to it as well. It has a 70s-style funk to it, similar to Justin Timberlake's "FutureSex," but way better. "If I Never See Your Face Again," "Makes Me Wonder" and "Won't Go Home Without You" are stand-outs that almost made the record.

this isn't as good as jane. it was cool for like the first four songs then it just seemed like this new sound isn't natural for them. the progression is ok, but they just sounded so much more natural on jane. still catchy though so that's good.

They really suck live, just so you know.

lol ok

No, You really can't know how much they suck live, I saw a show featuring them as the musical guests, and they sounded terrible. Adam Levine was trying to do falsetto, and the rest of the band weren't doing crap.

this is one of the most awesome album titles i've seen in a while! i sort of like these guys. i convinced my mom to download one of their new singles for her pod. cool review.

Catchy Music, energetic, but they lack orignality, as they kind of steal from 80s artists. At least the solo in Kiwi is actually decent, as apposed to a wanker solo I was expecting.
