i can't get into Ege Bamyasi as much as the other two from that era with Suzuki. still dig it but nowhere near as much

I feel exactly the same way. Having been familiar with it for a year or more, I was pleasantly surprised when I first heard Tago Mago and this. Actually, I also prefer Monster Movie to Ege Bamyasi. It's still by no means a bad album.

I get ya. What do you think of non-Suzuki Can in comparison?

i came around to Augmn. Peking O is too much, yeah. but the rest more than balance it out for me, especially Paperhouse and Halleluhwah. Sing Swan Song is great but there's not much about Ege Bamyasi that I like on that level

halleluwah is basically the greatest song of all time
of the non suzuki ones monster movie and soon over babaluma are great, soundtracks is pretty good and the rest are eh, though i have a strange soft spot for saw delight

'30+ minutes of bullshit noise collage'

I'm looking forward to Soon Over Babaluma. Have you heard The Lost Tapes? Wondering if that's worth a listen, since +3h is quite a bit to get through.

the lost tapes has incredible moments, especially on the earlier, malcom mooney tracks, and millionspiel is one of my favorite can songs, but i'd definitely check out the studio releases first. it's worth dedicating a few days to at some point though

Alrighty, thanks. Will go with that.

I must get my thirsty hands on Lost Tapes as soon as possible
|
| |
Monster Movie is underrated yeah, the singer punks things up a notch before the genre even existed

Review is very wrong. On what planet does this sound remotely like Tangerine Dream or Kraftwerk?
