This album made me go 'wow'.
They're like a sludgier, more hardcore version of Isis. It's fucking cool.

Don't forget to add 'one of the best metal albums within the last 10 years'!

Finding this a little boring here and there, but this album has some excellent songs. "Sever," simply put, is absolutely amazing. That's the only song I can confidently sai that about though.

I really dig this band. I was going to look for em at my local music store, but totally forgot. I'm just going to assume this band is an online-purchase-only though right?

Changed my mind, after listening to this I'm finding it more interesting...amazing even. Possibly will be raised to a 4.5, but a 4 for now.

The atmosphere created on this album almost makes it worth a 5 in my mind.

Does anybody know if this is concept album? I haven't really looked at the lyrics much but it flows and feels like one.

No, there's not a concept behind it. The band has said that they were tired of pretentious concepts. I think Prey on Life might have some overall theme though. This Message Edited On 03.22.08

I'm not one 100% sure about Prey on Life having a concept so I can't answer that either.
Also, these guys are writing new material right now. Album of the year for sure! This is still one of my favourite albums of all time.

If you gave this a 5 wizard, I'll have to check this out
Is this their best?
And this album came out 2005, are they working on another?

Easily their best! Words can't describe how good this album is. The atmosphere and structuring of the songs is unlike anything I've come across before. Post metal meets some metalcore/ sludge metal. Don't listen to me though, some people might think I'm hyping this album up.
This came out in Jan. 2006! Their new album, I thought I read from their website, was all recorded and ready to go.

I don't think this is nearly good as the_wizard says, but it's still awesome. Probably would make it into my top 100 albums of all time.
It may take a few spins to get into though, I found it quite boring at first.

No problem! I just reread what they had on their website. It said they were almost done putting the songs together and they will begin recording in April. Listen to their ecard here:

Especially the The Immateria. The end of that song just sends chills down my spine. Best song on the album!
bodiminflames,
I hated this album the first time I listened to it. Its certainly a grower though. You just need to listen to this album a few more times (listen carefully) and you will see why its so fucking awesome. This Message Edited On 03.22.08

Imo the best song is Mercy Liberation, then Homebound, then The Immateria.

Those are all amazing as well. I love the song Flights End because it has that woman singing in the background and just makes everything so eerie in the song. The last track Mercy Liberation starts off with the marching snare drums and has one of the sweetest builds I've ever come across. This Message Edited On 03.22.08

Well, regardless of classic status, this album appears to be quite good, so I'll probably like it

Listening to it? Or the Ecard?
I feel this is classic simply because this is one of the most unique metal albums I've come across.
